About Us
How Our Story Began
Nicksan’s beginnings go back more than 20 years to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, when Japanese chef Ma-sayuki Niikura visited that famous travel destination and met Mexican chef Ángel Carbajal. There, they became great friends, and Niikura (Nick) asked if he could create his cuisine in the restaurant where Ángel was working as a manager. Ángel agreed, and Nick thanked him by sharing the techniques of Japanese cuisine.
Nicksan Today
A fundamental aspect of Nicksan is ongoing innovation, constantly coming up with better and better choices for guests and maintaining the quality of our cuisine. Nicksan’s concept follows a blend of Japanese and Mexican cuisine. All of our dishes have been created under strict control, with characteristic flavor… the result of excellent technique combined with fresh, quality ingredients.
Our Restaurant
Nicksan features an easy-to-reach location at Residences Plaza in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico, set right in the heart of a lush and beautiful resort neighborhood. Inside our restaurant, discover contemporary style complemented by an open kitchen, and you can also enjoy an outdoor meal on Nicksan’s deck.
